INSTRUCT

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place chicken legs on a high-walled foil-lined baking dish (the foil makes cleanup easier – not necessary but helps a lot). A high-walled skillet is the best option because it has sides to hold everything inside but is also large enough that the chicken doesn’t get submerged in the sauce. This dish will have the best caramel color if half of the chicken sticks out of the sauce while cooking.
In a glass measuring cup, measure the honey, soy sauce, and ketchup. Add minced garlic, stir well. If the mixture doesn’t combine well, microwave it on high for 30 seconds and stir again. Pour the honey mixture over the chicken legs.
Place the chicken feet in the oven and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the chicken from the oven and rotate it so that the bottom of the sauce is now at the top, out of the sauce.
Put your feet back into the oven. Raise the heat to 425 degrees F. and bake until the sauce is bubbly and begins to caramelize on the chicken legs. This process will take about 15 minutes.
Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve the cooked chicken sauce with the meal or over rice if you’d like.
