How to make Easy Yogurt Cake – Recipe

How to make Easy Yogurt Cake

Ingredient

Makes about 6-8 servings

4 eggs
1 cup (320g) Greek Yogurt
1/2 cup (100g) sugar, divided
½ teaspoon (2g) salt
⅓ cup (40g) all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons (16g) cornstarch
1 teaspoon (5g) vanilla extract
lemon peel of a lemon

Instruct

Preheat oven to 300F (150C). Lightly grease the 8-inch (20 cm) spring-loaded pan and line the bottom and sides with parchment. The edges should be about 4 inches (10 cm) high.
Separate the white from the yolk.
Add ¼ cup (50g) of sugar to the yolks and mix well. Add vanilla extract and lemon zest and mix again to combine.

Add yogurt and mix it in.
Add yogurt to the yolk mixture to make yogurt cakes
Sift the flour and cornstarch into the yogurt mixture and mix well to combine. Set aside.
Add salt to the egg whites and mix until frothy. Gradually add ¼ cup (50g) of sugar.

Continue mixing until soft peaks form.
Gradually incorporate the whipped whites into the egg yolk mixture.
Fold the whites into the yolk mixture to make yogurt cakes
Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

If you’re using a spring-loaded pan, place it in another pan that doesn’t have a removable base.
Place everything in a larger saucepan and place in the oven.
Place the pan in a larger pan for a water bath
Fill the pan with hot water about halfway up.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 285F (140C). Continue baking for another 25-30 minutes.
Let cool completely.
Dust with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
