How to Make Classic Custard Pie

INGREDIENT

1 piece of deep-dish cake crust from the store
5 large eggs
3 cups of whole milk
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 sprinkle of nutmeg or cinnamon

INSTRUCT

Beat eggs in a large mixing bowl with vanilla, sugar and salt then stir in milk.

Pour the mixture through a strainer into the unbaked crust and sprinkle with seasonings of your choice.

Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes then lower the heat to 325 degrees and continue baking for 50-55 minutes. The edges will set but the center will still wobble. Do not let the filler bubble.
