1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (60g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda (6g)
1/2 teaspoon (2g) baking powder
1/2 teaspoon (3g) salt
3/4 cup (150g) brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup (113g) butter, room temperature
3 or 4 ripe bananas (about 1 1/4 cup (300g) puree
4 oz (120g) chocolate chips/cubic
1 teaspoon (5g) vanilla extract

1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C). Lightly grease a 9 X 5 inch – 23 X 13 cm loaf pan. Line the bottom with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

3. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork in a medium bowl.

4. Using an electric whisk in a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Stir in the eggs. Add vanilla and mix mashed bananas.

5. With the mixer on low speed, mix the flour mixture. Stir in chocolate crumbs/blocks..

6. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle chocolate chips/cubes on top. Bake for 50-60 minutes until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the bread cool on the pan for 10 minutes, then cool completely on a cooling rack.
