How to Make Baked Oats – Great dish for breakfast

Toasted Oats – Healthy breakfast recipe – No flour – No refined sugar – No butter. These baked oats are a healthy and delicious way to start your day. They’re made with simple ingredients like full-fat buttermilk, rich oatmeal, ripe bananas, fresh eggs, and a dash of honey. Best of all, they have no added sugar or refined butter, keeping the dish light and healthy. And because they’re made in individual ramekins, you get a warm and delicious individual serving.

How to Make Baked Oats

Ingredient

Makes 3 servings

1 ½ cups (150g) oats
1 medium banana
2 eggs
1 ½ tablespoons (30g) honey
1/4 teaspoon (1g) salt
1 teaspoon (5g) vanilla extract
3/4 cup (180g) buttermilk
3/4 teaspoon (3g) baking powder

To cover the top
blueberries, fresh or frozen
raspberries, fresh or frozen
Pecan

Method

STEP 1
Preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Put the oats in the blender and pulse a few times until they start to resemble flour. Add baking powder, chopped banana, maple syrup or honey, eggs, and mixed spice or cinnamon, and beat until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips or berries.

STEP 2

Lightly oil four heatproof ramekins, then divide the dough between them. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the oats are fully risen and the oats spring back when gently pressed. Sprinkle with additional chocolate chips or berries before serving, if you like.
