Ingredients for short rib stew:
– 6 to 8 beef ribs
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon black pepper
– 3 cups beef broth
– 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon onion powder
– 1 or 2 rosemary sprigs
Instructions for slow cooking beef short ribs:
1. Season the beef ribs with plenty of salt. Sear the beef short ribs in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Fry all sides of the ribs until golden brown to your liking.
2. Pour the beef broth, Worcestershire, and spices into the crock pot. Add rosemary.
3. Slow cook the beef ribs for 6 – 8 hours or until the beef ribs are done.
4. You can make beef gravy with the juice from beef ribs by adding a spoonful of corn starch. Use 2 cups of beef rib broth to simmer with 1 tablespoon of corn starch.
