How to make Bloomin’ Onion Bread – Recipe

Cheesy Bloomin’ Onion Bread is a great way to serve bread for a gathering and everyone will be impressed. It looks and tastes very good.

Makes about 6-8 servings
1 pound (400-450 g) unsliced loaf
3.5 oz (100 g) Ripe Cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
3.5 oz (100g) Mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
1/3 cup (70 g) butter, melted
1/2 cup scallions, chopped (about 4-5 scallions)
2 teaspoons flax and sesame seeds, optional


1. Preheat oven to 350 F (180C).

2. Cut the bread length and width without cutting off the bottom crust. Place it on a baking tray lined with foil.

3. Combine chopped onion with butter and seeds if using.

4. Place cheese slices in between the bread cuts.

5. Pour the butter-onion mixture into the bread cracks.

6. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Open the package and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and thickened.
