How to make healthy Oatmeal Brownies


2 cups (200g) rolled oats
1/3 cup (40g) cocoa powder
1 teaspoon (4g) baking powder
1/4 teaspoon (1g) salt
2 eggs
1/4 cup (90g) honey or maple syrup
1/4 cup (60g) peanut butter or coconut/vegetable oil
1 teaspoon (5g) vanilla extract
1⅔ cup (400g) buttermilk
1/3 cup (60g) chocolate chips/piece
2 tablespoons (35g) chocolate chips/cut for topping


Preheat oven to 350F (180C). Butter the sides and bottom of an 8-inch (20 cm) square baking pan. Line pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, add eggs and honey and beat well.

Add vanilla extract, peanut butter or vegetable oil and mix well.

Add buttermilk and continue mixing until combined.

Add salt, baking powder, cocoa powder and oats and mix well.

Fold in ⅓ cup (60g) of chocolate chips or cubes.
