Chicken Cordon Bleu is a great and fun way to prepare chicken for lunch or dinner. Chicken is pounded until thin, filled with melted ham and cheese, rolled up, dipped in eggs, covered with panko breadcrumbs and then grilled or fried until crisp and golden brown.
Ingredient
Makes about 4 servings
2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts, approximately (7 oz-200g) each
4-6 slices swiss cheese approximately (4 oz -120 g)
4-6 slices of ham (about 4 oz -120g)
4 teaspoons (20g) dijon mustard
1 large egg
1/2 cup (60g) flour
1 cup (100g) panko bread crumbs
1/4 teaspoon (1g) garlic powder
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instruct
Collect all the ingredients.
All ingredients are collected to make chicken cordon bleu.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Coat a 7×11 inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
Pound chicken breast to 1/4 inch thickness.
Beat chicken to 1/4-inch thickness.

Sprinkle each chicken piece on both sides with salt and pepper. Place 1 slice of Swiss cheese and 1 slice of ham on top of each brisket.
Add cheese and ham to chicken breast.

Roll each breast up and secure with toothpicks.

Place in prepared baking dish and sprinkle chicken with breadcrumbs.
Chicken is placed in a baking dish and sprinkled with breadcrumbs.
Bake in the preheated oven until chicken is no longer pink, 30 to 35 minutes.
Bake the chicken until the center is no longer pink.
Remove from oven and place 1/2 slice of Swiss cheese on top of each breast.
Place a piece of cheese on top of each chicken.
Return to oven until cheese is melted, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove toothpick and serve immediately.
