Ingredient:
– French bread
– 4 minced garlic cloves
– 1 cup of cheddar cheese
– 1 cup mozzarella cheese
– 1/4 cup chopped parsley
– 1 stick of soft butter
-1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
– 1/2 pound crispy bacon (optional)

Instruct

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cut bread in half lengthwise (regardless of the height of the bread). Cut two sheets of foil about 24 inches long and place them side by side so one overlaps the other slightly on a rimmed cookie sheet. Place the bread, cut side up, on the baking tray.
In a mixing bowl, use a fork to stir together the butter, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper. Scoop and spread the mixture evenly over the entire surface of both halves of the bread (this helps coat the edges evenly so they don’t burn). Cover the bread with foil and crimp the edges together and roll up the ends of the foil. Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven, unfold foil and roll foil inside. Sprinkle cheese evenly on bread. Put in the oven, bake uncovered, 5 – 6 minutes longer (bake for the last 1 – 2 minutes to make the bread crispier and the cheese more golden if desired, no need to move the rack up). Sprinkle parsley evenly on top. Cut into slices and serve warm.
